At Read It. Make It. Eat It., campers enjoy stories, get creative in the kitchen, and have fun making sweet treats inspired by Jory John’s Food Group books. Each day, children will listen to a read-aloud, decorate a treat, enjoy a themed snack, and prepare a simple take-home dessert to finish with their family. See Example Below: Read it: Campers listen to The Bad Seed and talk about how everyone can make good choices. Make It: Children decorate watermelon-themed cupcakes using colorful frosting and chocolate chip “seeds.” Eat It: Campers create a fun watermelon snack and enjoy it together. Take-Home Dessert: Each child assembles a cookie mix in a jar to take home and bake with their family. Big Idea: Even a bad day can turn sweet! There is an additional $10 materials fee added to the cost of this class to cover the cost of groceries.
