The Summer Enrichment program is for students who are currently enrolled in grades K-7 (entering Grades 1-8 in the fall of 2025). Students must be have completed kindergarten and be 6 years old by 8/31/25 in order to participate.
Enrichment classes for students in grades K-6. Open to all members of the community.
During this week-long program, students will learn how to build and program Lego Mindstorm robots, working collaboratively in small groups with coaching from the Shrewsbury High School Robotics Team. Students will participate in a variety of other group activities throughout the week, including building and launching their own model rocket! All activities teach students about teamwork, compromise, success, failure and more. They will have fun in the process and learn valuable teamworking skills.

Due to the repetitive nature of each week's program, we recommend that first-time participants only register for one session. Experienced participants who know what to expect are welcome to register for more than one week.
Students should bring a lunch from home Monday-Thursday. On Friday, we provide the students with a pizza lunch and this is included in the price. During Friday afternoon the students compete against the other teams using the Lego Robots they have been building during the week. This competition is based on the FIRST Lego League competition from the preceding season. Parents are invited to come and watch this.
