Week-long summer program for students who will be starting Kindergarten at Shrewsbury Public Schools.
The Summer Enrichment program is for students who are currently enrolled in grades K-7 (entering Grades 1-8 in the fall of 2026). Students must be have completed kindergarten and be 6 years old by 8/31/26 in order to participate.
Enrichment classes for students in grades K-6. Open to all members of the community.
During this week-long program, students will learn how to build and program Lego Spike robots, working collaboratively in small groups with coaching from the Shrewsbury High School Robotics Team. Students will participate in a variety of other group activities throughout the week, including building and launching their own model rocket! All activities teach students about teamwork, compromise, success, failure and more. They will have fun in the process and learn valuable teamworking skills.
Grades: For students CURRENTLY in grades 3-7 (entering grades 4-8 in the fall of 2026) Location: Shrewsbury High School Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30 Cost: $320 per week. Class fees are non-refundable Four sessions to choose from:
Due to the repetitive nature of each week's program, we recommend that first-time participants only register for one session. Experienced participants who know what to expect are welcome to register for more than one week.
Students should bring a lunch from home Monday-Thursday. On Friday, we provide the students with a pizza lunch and this is included in the price. During Friday afternoon the students compete against the other teams using the Lego Robots they have been building during the week. This competition is based on the FIRST Lego League competition from the preceding season. Parents are invited to come and watch this.
IMPORTANT: Class fees are non-refundable
A 50% deposit is required at the time of registration and the balance will be automatically charged to your card on June 2nd. If you cancel prior to June 2nd, you will not be charged the remaining balance, but your deposit will not be refunded.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
Students who meet the financial guidelines for the free and reduced lunch program can use the code SUMMER50 at checkout to receive a 50% discount off their total fees. Please note, even though all SPS students currently receive free lunch, this discount is only for families who meet the federal income guidelines for free and reduced meals. If you meet the criteria, you are eligible for financial assistance with other school programs. Learn more and apply here. All discounts will be verified with Food Services, and if you do not qualify, you will be billed the full cost of the class. Students who do not attend Shrewsbury Public Schools are not eligible for this discount, regardless of income status.
