Extended School Care is a non-profit organization that provides quality before and after school care for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Operated by the Shrewsbury Public Schools, the program is fully funded through parent fees.
Summer Academy is a free academic recovery program for qualifying students, including English Language Education. Students must be invited by Shrewsbury Public Schools in order to participate.
Week-long summer program for students who will be starting Kindergarten at Shrewsbury Public Schools.
These classes are offered to employees of Shrewsbury Public Schools and other town employees.
The Summer Enrichment program is for students who will be entering Grades 1-8 in the fall of 2024. Students must be have completed kindergarten and be 6 years old by 8/31/24 in order to participate.
Enrichment classes for students in grades K-6. Open to all members of the community.
The Summer Enrichment Program offers hands-on learning experiences for students who will be entering grades 1-8 in the fall of 2024. The program runs for four weeks in June and July, with half-day and full-day options available. Classes are taught by Shrewsbury Public School professionals, and other local educators. Topics include art, science, sports, technology, drama, writing, engineering and much more. With hundreds of classes to choose from, there’s something for everyone.

Location: Sherwood Middle School Times: All classes meet Monday-Thursday. Grades: The grade range for each class is the grade your child will be entering in the fall of 2024. For example, if your child is currently in kindergarten, you will select classes for grade1.
Students who stay all day may bring a lunch from home and will be supervised in the cafeteria from 11:30-12:00
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
Students who meet the financial guidelines for the free and reduced lunch program can use the code SUMMER50 at checkout to receive a 50% discount off their total fees. Please note, even though all SPS students currently receive free lunch, this discount is only for families who meet the federal income guidelines for free and reduced meals. If you meet the criteria, you are eligible for financial assistance with other school programs. Learn more and apply here. All discounts will be verified with Food Services, and if you do not qualify, you will be billed the full cost of the class. Students who do not attend Shrewsbury Public Schools are not eligible for this discount, regardless of income status.
IMPORTANT: Class fees are non-refundable. You will be required to pay a 50% deposit at the time of registration. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to your card on June 1st. If you cancel your registration prior to June 1st, you won't be charged the balance, but you will not be refunded your initial deposit.
