Summer Enrichment ProgramRegistration for summer 2025 is now open! Grades listed in the catalog refer to your child's CURRENT grade. For example, if your child is currently in grade 2, they can register for any class in the catalog that includes grade 2 students. The Summer Enrichment Program offers hands-on learning experiences for students who will be entering grades 1-8 in the fall of 2025. The program runs for four weeks in June and July, with half-day and full-day options available. Classes are taught by Shrewsbury Public School professionals, and other local educators. Topics include art, science, sports, technology, drama, writing, engineering and much more. With hundreds of classes to choose from, there’s something for everyone. Students must have completed kindergarten and be 6 years old by 8/31/25 in order to participate. Program Dates June 23-26 July 7-10 July 14-17 July 21-24 Location: Sherwood Middle School Times: All classes meet Monday-Thursday. Grades: The grade range in the catalog is your child's CURRENT GRADE for the 2024-2025 school year. ade1. AM session 8:30-11:30 - $100 per week PM session 12:00-3:00 - $100 per week Early drop off 7:00-8:30 - $40 per week Extended Hours 3:00-6:00 - $85 per week Students who stay all day may bring a lunch from home and will be supervised in the cafeteria from 11:30-12:00 IMPORTANT: Class fees are non-refundable. You will be required to pay a 50% deposit at the time of registration. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to your card on June 1st. If you cancel your registration prior to June 1st, you won't be charged the balance, but you will not be refunded your initial deposit. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Students who meet the financial guidelines for the free and reduced lunch program can use the code SUMMER50 at checkout to receive a 50% discount off their total fees. Please note, even though all SPS students currently receive free lunch, this discount is only for families who meet the federal income guidelines for free and reduced meals. If you meet the criteria, you are eligible for financial assistance with other school programs. Learn more and apply here. Summer RoboticsREGISTRATION FOR THE 2025 PROGRAM IS NOW OPEN! During this week-long program, students will learn how to build and program Lego Mindstorm robots, working collaboratively in small groups with coaching from the Shrewsbury High School Robotics Team. Students will participate in a variety of other group activities throughout the week, including building and launching their own model rocket! All activities teach students about teamwork, compromise, success, failure and more. They will have fun in the process and learn valuable teamworking skills. Grades: For students CURRENTLY in grades 3-7 (entering grades 4-8 in the fall of 2025) Location: Shrewsbury High School Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30 Cost: $320 per week Four sessions to choose from: July 7-11 July 14-18 July 21-25 July 28 - Aug 1 Due to the repetitive nature of each week's program, we recommend that first-time participants only register for one session. Experienced participants who know what to expect are welcome to register for more than one week. Students should bring a lunch from home Monday-Thursday. On Friday, we provide the students with a pizza lunch and this is included in the price. During Friday afternoon the students compete against the other teams using the Lego Robots they have been building during the week. This competition is based on the FIRST Lego League competition from the preceding season. Parents are invited to come and watch this.Category

Vacation Week EnrichmentAPRIL VACATION ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS 2025 Registration is closed. These classes are open to all members of the community, students do not need to be enrolled in Shrewsbury Public Schools in order to attend. Dates: Tuesday April 22nd - Friday April 25th, 2025 Location: Beal School, 214 Lake Street AM classes: 8:30-11:30 AM - $100 PM classes: 12:00-3:00 PM - $100 Extended Hours: 3:00-6:00PM - $85 Early Drop-off: 7:00-8:30 - $40 Students who enroll in both morning and afternoon classes will bring a lunch from home and will be supervised in the cafeteria from 11:30-12:00. Program staff will help students get to their afternoon class after lunch. Parents must provide their own transportation to and from the program.
